1966/67 Fender Mustang Bass

This bass has played a lot of shows in the past 50+ years and it fucking rips.

Nico has been hanging around the cool kids for most of her life. There’s a faint smell of nicotine and the original white finish has turned a hazy yellow. It’s strung with flats and records beautifully. Turn the tone control to taste and it usually slots right into the mix. The short scale neck is broken in like my favorite pair of jeans and it’s just plain fun and easy to play.

Nico is worn and all original. Unusual black undercoat (I’ve seen a few other 60s Fenders like it), gorgeous tortoise shell pickguard, and a surprisingly interactive tone control. 1966 neck date, 1967 serial number. Have the original case too.
